All scholarships are School of Music scholarships and are awarded through auditions. The student will be asked to perform major scales, chromatic scale, solo excerpts (lyrical and technical passages) and sight-reading. Out-of-state students who receive music scholarships may also receive a waiver to subsidize a sizable portion of the additional out-of-state student fee. Non-music majors are eligible for music scholarships, provided they participate in University bands and study applied music.
Audition dates for the 2008-2009 academic year will be:
December 6, 2008 - all areas
January 17, 2009 - all areas
January 31, 2009 - all areas except winds and percussion
February 21, 2009 - BAND CLINIC
February 28, 2009 - all areas
March 7, 2009 - all areas
